STUDENT CHECKLIST

 

 

WELCOME TO BACONE COLLEGE!  THIS IS WHERE YOU NEED TO BE…

 

An exciting year awaits you and we are pleased to assist you with the steps you need to take in the enrollment process.

 

ADMISSIONS

 

1. ______      Application for Admissions into Bacone College. 

 

2. ______      Pay non-refundable application fee of  $25. 

 

3. ______      Official High School transcripts or GED transcript.

 

4. ______      If no High School Diploma or GED, please call an Admissions Counselor and they will assist you with the necessary steps to enroll.

 

5. ______      Official transcripts from all colleges attended.

 

6. ______       Your SAT and ACT test scores.  If you haven’t taken the ACT, the Admissions Counselors will assist you with this step.

 

7. ______      During orientation week take the Bacone College Institutional Assessment Exam if you are a freshman. 

 

8. ______      Nursing / Radiography and Counselor Training in Substance Abuse students must first apply and be accepted into Bacone College (step 1).  Then you must also apply to be accepted into the Nursing and/or Radiography courses and Counselor Training in Substance Abuse.

 

a. _______              Fill out an application to Nursing, Radiography, or Counselor Training in Substance Abuse with Admissions Counselor.

 

b. _______Bring 2 letters of personal reference for recommendation.

 

c. _______              Call the following departments for further information.

 

                1. ______                Nursing---Ext. 7310

                               

                2. ______                Radiography---Ext. 7310 or 7326

 

                3. ______                Counselor Training in Substance Abuse---Ext. 7250

 

FINANCIAL AID

 

9. ______      Call your Admissions Counselor to set up an appointment to complete Financial Aid, as there are some Financial Aid steps that have deadlines, so you are going to want to schedule this appointment as soon as possible.

 

                                Bring with you to the Financial Aid appointment:

 

1. ______                FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form, with questions 1-7 filled in.  If you have problems with this form, our Financial Aid officers will be happy to assist you.

 

                                                2. _____  Your Federal Tax Returns. (Designated on the FAFSA you fill out)

 

                                                3. ______                Your parents Federal Tax Returns.  (Designated on the FAFSA you fill out)

 

                                                4. ______                Social Security Card

 

                                                5. ______                Drivers License or I.D. Card

 

6. ______                Names, addresses and phone numbers of 3 personal or business references who do not live at your same address.
