Dec 12 - 16 Sports and Media  This class will explore the various ways the media reports sport issues and how that reporting affects an individual’s perception of what is taking place in the world of sports.

Jan 2 - 6 Sports Officiating  In this course students will have an in depth study of the rules of football, baseball, basketball, and soccer. The students will also learn the techniques used by the officials to referee these sports

Students that want to enroll in a course for 3 instead of 2 credits will be required to submit an additional out-of-class assignment within 3 weeks after the course is over. The course instructor will provide the details of the additional assignment. Students are required to enroll in a course for 3 credit hours when they initially submit their registration form or no later than by the Orientation Session held the night before classes begin.
