John Timothy, a fine artist, musician, an enrolled member of the Mvscogee Creek Nation, serves as cultural interpreter for the Center for American Indians.   John served as Director of Ataloa Lodge Museum for twelve of the fifteen years he has been employed here.  Aside from his regular duties, today he leads the CAI Community Outreach program where he works as a cultural emissary and liaison between Bacone's Native staff and students and service organizations, schools, and communities at large. 

A fine traditional artist and craftsman, John also facilitates the CAI's Arts and Crafts Club each semester, instructing students in beading techniques, fan and drum-making, leather working, flute-making, basketry, and other traditional crafts.
