BA in Early Childhood Development & Education
Division of Adult Education Degree Completion Program
No more than 61 hours may be completed online or off-site.
Minimum of 124 academic credit hours and a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 are required for the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development & Education.
About
The BA in Early Childhood Development & Education is a non-certification degree completion program designed to prepare early childhood professionals to make a difference in the lives of children and families within the context of home, school and community. Course work and practical experiences help students interpret and integrate the ever-growing body of knowledge about children and their environments. Special attention is given to examining the implications of theories, research, and policies.
Admission Requirements
You must successfully complete the following course work:
- Complete twenty-four credit hours toward degree plan
- Pass ENG 1113 English Composition I with a “C” or better
- Pass College Algebra
- Pass PED 1002 Introduction to Education with a “C” or better
- Complete the reading requirement (advanced reading or sufficient ACT score)
