Mission Statement
The Division of General Studies offers courses that fulfill the College’s Core Curriculum requirements, coursework leading to the Associate of Arts in General Studies, and courses that support the degree programs of other Bacone schools and divisions. The mission of the Division of General Studies is to provide an academically challenging experience in the tradition and according to the philosophy of the liberal arts, an approach to education that assumes that college should enlighten students in all aspects of learning: the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics. To this end the Division of General Education offers an exceptionally diverse curriculum of courses that focus on interdisciplinary experiences consistent with the values and philosophy of Christianity.
