Bridge Mentor Program
Mentoring is available for all Bacone College Bridge Scholars. Professional Bridge mentors and student mentors are available to assist with homework and explain parts of lessons that may seem difficult.
Professional Bridge mentors have college degrees and are selected based on their subject area expertise and willingness to help students achieve academically. Student Bridge mentors have already succeeded in the subjects they mentor.
Drop-in Math, English, and Reading mentoring times are announced at the beginning of each 8 week Bridge class. Students are invited to drop-in to ask a question or stay the entire time. Bring the books and materials that you want to work with.
Individual and small group mentor sessions are also available upon request. Email your request for a mentor to [email protected] Include your full name, available times and days, class/subject you would like help with, and a phone number so that a mentor can contact you to confirm an appointment.
Mentoring is not a substitute for attending class.
The Bridge Mentor Program is funded through a generous grant from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). A generous grant from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) enables us to provide student mentors and professional mentors for many Bridge Scholar students. Providing mentors for students who need them contributes to our high student success rate.
