POSITION: Assistant /Associate Professor of Sports Management / Program Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS: Earned Doctorate in Sport Management or related discipline; evidence of scholarly productivity; the ability to teach courses in sports management from a Christian faith perspective in a multicultural environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach undergraduate courses in Sport Management including Sport Law, Sport Pedagogy, Sport Administration, Event Management, Facility Design/Maintenance, and other courses related to sport management. The position also includes the responsibilities of serving as the program coordinator for Sports Management and Recreation Management. Program Coordinator functions include, but are not limited to curriculum development, course scheduling, adjunct recruitment, and internship placements/supervision.

SUMMARY:

Responsibilities for full-time position includes teaching undergraduate courses in Accounting, advising students, and serving on departmental and college committees. Adjunct faculty responsibilities are limited to classroom instruction. Compensation is competitive and is commensurate with rank, credentials, and experience. Positions begin in August 2006.
